1. Install the nux repo

 $> su -

 $> yum update # optional but recommanded

 $> rpm --import https://www.elrepo.org/RPM-GPG-KEY-elrepo.org

 $> rpm -Uvh https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/x86_64/e/epel-release-7-5.noarch.rpm

 $> rpm -Uvh http://li.nux.ro/download/nux/dextop/el7/x86_64/nux-dextop-release-0-5.el7.nux.noarch.rpm

2. Install the necessary packages

$> sudo yum install vlc
