1. Add the --enable-easy-off-store-extension-install flag when you start chrome (create shortcut, edit target, append the flag).
2. Navigate to chrome://extensions/ in the browser.
3. Click the “Developer mode” checkbox to activate it.
4. Drag 'n drop the .crx to the browser, installing the extension.
