No matter how hard the past is, you can always begin again.

Honestly, I don't agree with your opinion, I think it is just a toxic chicken-soup for the soul.

Why I think it is toxic?

Just because for most of us, today is nothing but a continuation of the past, it is almost impossible to break off relations with the past completely.

But don't be so pessimistic, there are always some exceptions, and that depends on your attitudes towards your past, either you can learn some lessons from them, or you can let them become the monkey on your back.

Everyting hinges on your own decisions.

Maybe the life would become easier if we take all the limitations and unfavourable factors as some chances to improve our abilities.

How to understand this quote?

Maybe it just tells us when encountered with setbacks, we should not hide to pretend there are no difficulites, just like an ostrich that sticks its head in the sand when some dangerours things come, in the very opposite, we should bravely face up to those setbacks and try to overcome them.

Just like in the battlefield, it is always better to have a shot on the chest than to be shoot on the back.

Even if we fail the battle, when our bodies are collected by others, we still can be praised as a brave solider, not a coward.

For me, maybe I never be a victor in my battle with fate, but I would rather fall down on my road of charging up, maybe in our next charge, we can knock all the bad things out.
